A 100% Solids, two component Polyurethane Coating that contains no volatile organic compounds (VOC) or solvents. It has been formulated specifically as an impermeable barrier for concrete in corrosive immersion, splash & buried service. The ISO component A and the Polyol component B are mixed at the specified ratio and applied using a plural component spray equipment at required thickness. The coating cures rapidly to form a seamless, tough, flexible coating especially suited for applications where high abrasion and chemical resistance are required.
Products with very high elongation (200-400%) have linear molecular structures and large gaps within which allow entry of corrosive ions through the film. These waterproofing products are not very effective corrosion barriers for concrete. GT Spraycoat PU100 provides an elastic but impermeable barrier.

HIGH BUILD, PINHOLE FREE COATING – GT SPRAYCOAT PU100 is applied from 1.00 – 3.00 mm (60 – 120 mils) or more in a single application, providing a pinhole free coating on well prepared concrete with even thickness on peaks and valleys.
IMPERMEABLE BARRIER – GT SPRAYCOAT PU100 is a highly impermeable membrane (tested by water vapour transmission) which effectively prevents ingress of corrosive ions, liquids & gases from intruding through the coating and corroding the concrete aggregate and reinforcing steel. GT SPRAYCOAT PU100 has a very low water vapour permeability of 0.002 perm-inch. High elongation products allow high amounts of corrosive ions & gases to pass through. E.g. Typical Polyurea with 350%+ elongation will have permeability 10- 20 times more than GT SPRAYCOAT PU100.
ELASTIC NATURE, CRACK SPANNING – Elastic with > 50% Elongation. Can be bent 180 over 12 mm (½ inch) Mandrel. GT SPRAYCOAT PU100’s elasticity allows it to withstand cyclic thermal expansion and contraction of the substrate without disbondment or cracking. It will also span the network of microcracks in concrete which expand in service leading to permeation and corrosion.
GOOD CHEMICAL & WATER RESISTANCE – GT SPRAYCOAT PU100 is highly resistant to a wide variety of Acid, Alkalis, Salts, Seawater, Sewage and Industrial Chemicals. Weight gain in ASTM D 543 tests is typically < 0.5%. This prevents degradation of the film and allows long term performance. GT SPRAYCOAT PU100 has very low water absorption. Saturated weight gain < 0.86% as per Procedure 7.4 (Long Term Immersion) of ASTM D 570. Competing coatings gain 2-3% or more without reaching saturation.
HYDROPHOBIC, DAMP TOLERANT – GT SPRAYCOAT PU100 is hydrophobic during application and very fast setting. This eliminates secondary reactions with surface and atmospheric moisture allowing the coating to be applied in difficult conditions in conjunction with PIV penetrating, sealing 100% Solids Polyurethane Primer.
NON TOXIC – LOW LEACH RATE – Highly inert and non-toxic with negligible leach rate allows use in potable water systems. No hazardous chemicals used.
