A high performance sealing strip based on special polymer and hydrophilic additives capable of swelling when comes in contact with water and imparts positive pressure on joint faces to form an effective water barrier seal. It is suitable for use in contact with potable, saline and sewage water. During absence of water the product will shrink back to its original dimension and re‐expand on wetting.
